Law of Polarity

The Law of Polarity states that everything has an opposite. A bad situation is equally good. Look for the good, and more good will be on its way.

On pages 100-101 of "Hidden Treasures: Heaven's Astonishing Help With Your Money Matters," Leslie Householder says: "It is important to realize that the experiences that we call unfortunate are, in every case, good for us...Just knowing that opposition is a natural part of our life experience can help us deal with disappointments."

Knowing this law has helped me tremendously in my life. I won't go into all the details here, but I have even found good in my mother's recent death. When something is really, really bad, it is likewise really, really good and our job is to find what's really, really good so we can feel comforted and peaceful.

Have you lost your job? The really, really good in that is that now you are free to find what you really want to do. That happened to my husband. At the time, the job loss seemed catastrophic, yet it turned out to be the best thing that could happen to us.

Are your relationships with others in the toilet? The really, really good in that is that you may be guided to new friends who will lift and inspire you. Or you may be guided to a book that will help you mend those relationships, and your experiences may help others in the future.

When things seem very bad, get excited and start looking for the very good as well. It's there, by law!
