Law of Vibration

The Law of Vibration states that your thoughts control your personal vibration. Change your thoughts, get emotional about them, and you'll change what is attracted to you. This law is more commonly referred to as the Law of Attraction.

This law is misunderstood a lot and I have had friends tell me it doesn't work. It's taken me a while to understand it better myself.

On pages 83-84 in "Hidden Treasures: Heaven's Astonishing Help With Your Money Matters" by Leslie Householder, she states, "As you hold them (thoughts) in your mind and allow yourself to feel how it will be when they are with you, you are putting yourself in a vibration that is in harmony with the physical counterpart of that idea. If it already exists in physical form somewhere, then the vibrations you send out are putting into motion the events necessary to bring it to you. If it does not already exist, then your thought is directly responsible for the co-creation of the thing."

I love this quote since we learn that we put into motion the events necessary to bring what we desire to us. However, we need to take action on any impressions we receive and we need to hold the thought we desire with faith.

When I first started learning about the Law of Attraction, I got on a phone call and the guest speaker was Michael Losier. He has a book titled "The Law of Attraction," and I enjoyed what he said as well. His definition of the Law of Attraction is, "I attract to my life (or business) whatever I give my attention, energy or focus to, whether negative or positive." A vibe is a mood or feeling and since we always have a mood or feeling, we're always sending out vibes.

The Law of Attraction is a science, so it's duplicatable. At every moment, including right now, I'm sending a positive or negative vibration and at every moment, the Law of Attraction is responding to that vibration by giving me MORE of the same vibration, whether negative or positive. Since the Law of Attraction is a science, it doesn't know whether something is good or bad. Watch your wording. Google "no football" and see what shows up or tell your dog "no treats" and see what he does.

There's a lot to be said on this topic and these are just a few of the things I've learned. It seems easy to attract negative things and I'm actively watching my thoughts so I can start attracting more positive into my life!

Law of Relativity

The Law of Relativity states that your situation is not fundamentally good or bad until you compare it to something else.

On page 47 of "Hidden Treasures: Heaven's Astonishing Help with Your Money Matters" by Leslie Householder, she goes on to say about this law, "Bad things that happen to us are only bad relative to something better. If you are convinced that you are dealing with a rotten circumstance, then you need to ask God to help you see it differently. Compare your situation to something much worse, and you will be able to maintain more faithful thoughts. That is the goal."

One thing that has helped me do this is to give service to others. As I've talked with people and heard the challenges they're going through, I'm so grateful for my life. And I'm sure there are others who feel the same when they talk to me. I truly believe we're given what we can handle.

It also helps me to read books about what others have gone through. I recently read "The Hiding Place," by Corrie ten Boom. Corrie ten Boom and her sister Betsie were taken to one of Hitler's concentration camps for helping the Jews. I love the part where Betsie was reading in the Bible and pointed out to Corrie that it says to thank God in ALL circumstances, not just the pleasant ones. At the time, they were housed in barracks that were infested with fleas. Betsie insisted that they needed to be grateful for them. One day, they found out why. They were allowed a lot of freedom to go around from group to group during the day and read to them from the Bible because the guards didn't want to enter the room since there were so many fleas.

After reading Corrie's story, I feel incredibly wealthy. I have running water and can take a shower every day, a toilet that flushes, a clean bed and sheets to sleep in, food to eat, freedom to come and go as I please, communication with others and much more. I am grateful for what I have NOW!

To me, that's one of the most important things we can do--express gratitude in each moment for what we have. Try it and see what happens!

Law of Perpetual Transmutation

The Law of Perpetual Transmutation states that circumstances and things are perpetually coming or going according to your thoughts. This law refers to the fact that circumstances are constantly changing.

The story I referred to earlier about my son in the parade is a great example of this law. He heard me tell him we were going to a parade. He created a new idea that he was going to be in the parade. Then he had pure faith and belief that that would happen. I tried discouraging him from this idea, but he would not be deterred. If he had given in to me and decided, "Mom's right, I won't be in the parade," then I believe that circumstances would have changed and my aunt would not have come to our family asking if there was anyone that wanted to be on a float. This scenario had never happened in the past and when we went to the parade last summer, it didn't happen then, either (and my son had no desire last year to be on a float).

On page 39 in "Hidden Treasures: Heaven's Astonishing Help With Your Money Matters" by Leslie Householder, she describes what happens this way: "Belief is an emotion which speeds the creative process while doubt returns an idea to a formless state. So if you desire something or a circumstance that is good and in harmony with God's desires for you, hold the idea of it in your mind, believing that it is being created and is on its way. The original substance is obedient to the Law of Perpetual Transmutation and the influences of belief and doubt."

At the beginning of the year, I decided that I wanted to purchase Leslie's Family Time & Money Freedom Course because I knew that it would be a huge blessing in my life and I would forever be grateful for the information contained in it. However, at the time, I didn't have the funds anywhere to pay for it. I held the idea in my mind and knew that, because it was something good that I truly desired, the way would open up for me to receive it. At the beginning of March, I started figuring out our taxes (thank goodness they aren't complicated) and right at the end, noticed that we qualified to use an online service for free. I'm generally too cheap to pay someone to do simple taxes when I can easily do them myself. However, since it was free, I decided to give it a try. The difference between what I had figured our refund to be and what the online service figured our refund to be was the exact price of the Family Time & Money Freedom Course! I sat there stunned for a minute while I realized what had happened. My husband agreed that it would be beneficial for us to have the course so I was able to purchase it, and it has been even better than I originally thought it would be.

Create a new idea, believe in it, act on any impressions or feelings you receive. Things will start happening that you can't see, and as you press forward with faith and belief, you will receive your desire. Just try it--you just might be surprised with your results!

What are Universal Laws?

I didn't know anything about universal laws a few years ago. You could even say that I didn't care about them. So, what happened?

Well, I first became aware that these laws even existed. When I think of the universe, I think of God. So, universal laws are God's laws.

I read an incredible book called "Hidden Treasures: Heaven's Astonishing Help with Your Money Matters" by Leslie Householder. She does a great job of explaining the laws and how they work. The 7 success laws are: Law of Perpetual Transmutation, Law of Relativity, Law of Vibration (Attraction), Law of Polarity, Law of Rhythm, Law of Cause and Effect and Law of Gender and Gestation. There is also the Vacuum Law of Prosperity.

I've written articles on these laws which are now starting to be seen on ezinearticles.com. The link to view my articles is http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Melanie_Valderrama. Some of these laws may sound familiar because you may have heard them called a different name.

Once I became aware of the laws, I started noticing how these laws work in my life. I've also been learning how to use them to my advantage. Life is becoming easier and a lot more fun!

Stay tuned for further explanation of these laws...

Believe in Your Children's Dreams

A few years ago, when my son had just turned 5, we headed to a small town parade in Idaho and to reunite with some family. When I told my son we were going to a parade, he said, "I want to be in the parade." This actually isn't a strange request. Since it's such a small town, almost every year, at least one member of our family is involved and each of my grandfathers have been the Grand Marshal.

I asked my mom and she said that she hadn't heard of anyone in our family being involved in a float. I told Dylan that he wouldn't be able to be in the parade. Anytime we would talk about it, however, he would tell me that he was going to be in the parade. I let it go and as we were driving up, I tried to figure out how I was going to console him when this didn't happen.

Thirty minutes before the start of the parade, our family was all gathered together and one of my aunts who lives in this town came over and said they had a float and they were looking for someone else to be on it. My mom immediately called me over and we asked her if she was looking for an adult or child and she said either one. We asked if Dylan could be on it and she said yes. So they took off to get on the float. He looked scared to death when he came by, but afterwards told me he had a lot of fun!

I was humbled that day as I saw a 5-year-old boy's dream come true in spite of my trying to squelch it. Now when he tells me he wants something or is going to do something, I believe him and am excited to see how it will turn out!

Water Experiment

A couple of years ago, I was on a phone call where they did a water experiment. It's based on Dr. Emoto's work, "The Hidden Messages in Water."

Here's the experiment: Fill two glasses of water (you can use other liquids, if you prefer) and take one glass with you into another room. Focus on the water for about 10 seconds and then send it feelings and thoughts of love and gratitude for another 60 seconds. Then, taste the water and go into the room where the other glass of water is and taste that water.

If you don't want to hear my results yet, stop reading and go try it yourself. Here's what happened to me: I was amazed at the difference in the taste. I used bottled water, and yes, there was a significant taste difference. The water I sent love and gratitude to tasted so much better than the water I left in the kitchen.

A few days later, my husband and I went to Subway and I ordered bottled water with lemon in it. Neither of us liked it--it tasted like weak lemonade, so I took it and concentrated on it for only about 20 seconds (my husband was giving me strange looks). We both tasted it again and were amazed at how much better it tasted. He asked what I did and I told him I sent it love and gratitude.

I've since realized how important it is to bless our food, and when we're grateful for it, it will taste good no matter what. Since I'm not the greatest cook, I need to remember to send all the food I cook lots of love and gratitude, so my family will think I'm a great cook!!

Try this little experiment in your life and see what happens.

When I Have a Choice, I Choose to Believe

At the end of 2005, I was living in my parents’ basement while they were out of the country and they were getting ready to come home. I wanted to be in a home of my own before they got back. I didn’t see how that would happen. My husband and I had two small children and no extra income to make a mortgage payment.

I was told about a book entitled, “The Jackrabbit Factor: Why You Can” by Leslie Householder. I immediately went to her website and read what it was about. It was my story!! What intrigued me the most was that the wife needed to learn something as well. I ordered the book right away and when it came, I read it. It’s a fantastic book and there is a statement in it that has completely changed my life. It’s simply, “When I have a choice, I choose to believe.” Wow!! Could it really be that simple? I put it to the test.

My husband had been interviewing for a better position at his work and three times had been passed over for someone else. It was a little frustrating and it got to the point where he would tell me he was interviewing and I would think, “Well, the other person will be glad to get that job.” I decided to stop thinking that way and for a week, I would say over and over again, “When I have a choice, I choose to believe.” The next week, my husband came home and told me he got the new position, without needing to interview for it this time. We were so excited!!

Soon after that, I was driving around one day and found a home for sale. I picked up a flyer and we called to go look at it. We loved the home! It had everything we wanted and it was beautiful. When it came time to figure out financing, however, it was out of our price range. We learned that what we would qualify for was a condo. We were a little deflated, but after a couple of days, realized that a condo would be better than living in my parents’ basement, so we started looking. We searched all over and found a brand new condo that we absolutely love at a fantastic price!! The best part is that we were able to move into our new condo the weekend before my parents came back to town.

It really is that simple. When do you have a choice? Always. I find it much more empowering to believe rather than to be afraid. If you’re an overworked housewife, you can choose to believe that today is going to be a great day with your children. If you’re stressed out with bills, you can believe that your bills will be taken care of this month.

How soon will you see results? It depends on how you feel about what you’re asking for. Get excited about your choice and see how this one simple statement can make a profound difference in your life!
